At the beginning of 2024 the pond overflow tube sprung a leak. The board spoke to several different contractors to get options and quotes to replace the tube or dig out the pond and replace the tube. This was not an easy decision but they decided to drain the pond, dig out years worth of muck that has built up and replace the overflow tube with a structure that will allow the club to lower the pond if we would ever need to do work around the outside edges without draining it. We are hopeful this will make a much better pond for future generations.
April of 2025 we did stock the pond with new young fish. We have added minnows, shiners, bluegill and redear sunfish. In September/October of 2025 we will be adding catfish, large mouth bass, and perch. We request no one fishes the pond until further notice to let these fish grow and get established. We will announce when you can fish again.
This project was not a cheap project. Please consider donating to the project! You can click the link below to make a donation or give a donation to one of the board/chair members. If you donate $1000 or more, you will receive your name and/or business on a plaque near the pond and receive a lifetime membership.
